About Me
I am Kristie Stumpf Rork, Cape Vincent Strong
I was born and raised in Cape Vincent, the daughter of a dairy farmer and an English teacher. Growing up on the farm taught me grit, hard work, and perseverance, while my mother nurtured my love of words, learning, and compassion. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree and pursued graduate work toward an Education degree, but no matter where life took me, my heart always led me back to the Cape.
In 2003, I married my husband at the historic Tibbetts Point Lighthouse, and in 2019 we moved our family back home, settling next door to my parents so I could help care for them. This community isn’t just where I’m from - it’s my passion, my purpose, and the foundation of who I am.

My Work & My Why
I’ve carried those values into everything I do: as a cancer survivor, a writer for publications like HuffPost and Thousand Islands Life Magazine, a former plus-sized model and actor, and as someone who has always believed in living by the Golden Rule.
My work in community advocacy - including serving as Executive Director of the Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce - ultimately inspired me to create Cape Vincent Strong, a social media and marketing agency that lifts up small businesses across the North Country.
At Cape Vincent Strong, I lead with honesty, transparency, and accountability, striving to build lasting relationships built on trust. I am proud of the work I do, but even prouder of the chance to give back to the community that has given me everything.
